Have you seen a meltdown? That can only mean one thing – the lamb turned out just fine! I am sitting on the sofa sipping Baileys and nothing could be more perfect right now.
It is true that the filling did not end up in the middle – it was more like a side dish – and next time, I’ll be using a lot more mascarpone. But the consistency was just as needed, pink, juicy and the skin quite crispy.
The best dish had to be the spinach and Gruyere quiche though – well, what a surprise. After all, it was a Julia Child recipe. It made the non-vegetarians of us beg the vegetarians to leave us a bite.
The Baileys and chocolate cheesecake was a hit, I’d recommend it to anyone. For some reason though, the base got stuck to the tin so we ended up pinching it up with our fingers – taste wise though, perfectly Christmasy.
I am now going to have another glass of Baileys and take a deep breath… Success though. That’s great. 🙂
